A green winter-hardy butterhead lettuce with great taste and texture. We wanted to include Brighton amongst our lettuces because it is one of the best and biggest winter hardy butterhead types there is.

It has glossy dark green leaves and medium-sized heads. Sown in September, it can be cultivated outside or undercover for continuous picking or left to mature for an early spring harvest.

When to sow: Feb – September
Spacing: 30 x 20cm
Lettuce tips: Shallow sow in drills 30cm apart, or sow in modules and transplant to final position.
Summer crop: sow from March outdoors, or early Feb indoors, protect from frost.For an autumn/winter crop sow in early August.For late winter/early spring crop sow in September/October.
