The fine feathery leaves have a flavourful complex taste and can be chopped and added to sauces to go with fish or vegetables or just sprinkled on top of your meal to add colour and flavour. Traditionally also used for pickling; try using the flowers or seeds too.
When to sow: April – July
Spacing: 25 x 25cm
Dwarf French Beans Tips: Direct sow in 4cm deep drills, spacing seeds 12cm apart, and thin to final spacing. Wait until the soil has warmed up, from May until the beginning of July. If sown when the soil is too cold and/or wet the beans may rot. The seeds can also be sown indoors in pots from April and planted out at their final spacing.
